Run Coaching in Ocean Grove for Runners Who Want to Get Stronger, Faster and Stay Injury-Free.

People in Ocean Grove don’t struggle with motivation.
They struggle with knowing exactly what to do to improve.

More running isn’t always the answer.
Better programming, smarter strength work and the right training load is.

At Squad Performance, run coaching combines structured running, strength & conditioning, and performance programming so you can prepare properly for your next event.

We coach runners training for:

  • 5km & 10km races

  • Half marathons

  • Marathons

  • Ultra runs

  • Trail races

  • Hyrox & hybrid events

  • Local fun runs and club competitions

Start with a 1:1 consult and a structured training block.

Who Our Run Coaching Is For

This is for runners who want more than just mileage.

  • You want to run faster and want to prevent those ongoing niggles

  • You’re training for an event and don’t want to spend energy trying to work out what to do

  • You know strength training matters but don’t know how to do it properly

  • You’re coming back from injury

  • You want structure and focus with your training

We work with runners across Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Geelong and the Bellarine.

How Run Coaching at Squad Works

All runners start with a 1:1 consult where we look at:

  • current running load

  • injury history

  • strength levels

  • upcoming events

  • weekly schedule

From there we build your program using:

✔ Running sessions
✔ Strength & conditioning
✔ Load management
✔ Technique work
✔ Hybrid / conditioning if needed

You train in our semi-private performance gym alongside other runners and athletes, each following their own program.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Many of our runners are currently preparing for:

  • Geelong Half Marathon

  • Great Ocean Road Running Festvial

  • Surf Coast Trail Marathon

  • Barwon Heads Running Festival

  • Sunshine Coast Marathon

  • Surf Coast Century

  • Melbourne Marathon

  • Local club and fun runs

If you have an event coming up, we can build your training around it.

Why Runners Need Strength Training

Most runners don’t get injured from running.
They get injured from running more than their body can handle. The volume exceeds tissue capacity.

Strength training improves:

  • tendon stiffness

  • running economy

  • power

  • injury resistance

  • speed
